Avatar and Sig Sizes (kb's)

Hello, I'm trying to get a sig to work but it keeps coming up error, I'm used to forums and how to use [ i m g ] tags and what not.....

file size for the AVATAR is 195.3 kb's.......you what! thats massive for a poxy image 150x100

file size for the SIG is 19.5 kb's. Come on!!!! I made a basic sig and i mean basic and it saves at around 35kb.. thus forcing me not to have a signature......

Can there be a re-think into the file sizes ? I'm not the only person that has this issue....

Sorry to rant but tis what i think.......other than that i love the forum.

Upload your sig via a image hosting site then there is no size limit

Yea, all my sigs are hosted at either photobucket or imageshack.

I copy my sigs url and paste it inside the img tags and paste the whole lot into the edit signature section of the user cp..... still no joy. I get a message saying that the remote file is too large.

I'll give it another go tonight. See if I can do a workaround...... here's hoping.
