JCpackers05 said:why do you doubt that...ive heard rumors as to the devils are trying to get him...and Souray can take as long as he wants. cause hes obviously going to sign with someone before the season starts...its only a matter of time now.
and GAY the devils start the season on a 9 game road trip...wtf?
we don't have the cash, unless he signs a one year deal.CantGetAWii said:I doubt that because Lou does not want to pay over 6 million for him.
Last I heard the sharks have the cash and are interested.

for the last time....ilikecookies said:Rumors are going around saying hes on the market for a trade to Oilers and Habs. Maybe then you would have the money to sign him.

I don't mind having Naslund. However if we could pick up someone better and possibly a bit younger I wouldn't mind seeing a trade being made.

TSN.CA: reports Red Deer Rebels GM and head coach Brent Sutter is expected to announce later today that he's stepping down from those roles and could potentially become the next head coach of the New Jersey Devils.
NEW JERSEY STAR-LEDGER: Rich Chere reports the amount of money required to re-sign RFAs like Zach Parise and Paul Martin likely prevents the Devils from signing UFAs like Sheldon Souray or Alexei Yashin. Chere believes Parise could command around $4 million per season, suggesting a four-year, $16 million contract might be workable for both sides, while Martin could double his $2 million salary from last season.
Just the latest news from the National Hockey League. I am surprised that the oilers signed Souray.
