Ouch that sucks that you guys start off on a nine game road trip.

why do you doubt that...ive heard rumors as to the devils are trying to get him...and Souray can take as long as he wants. cause hes obviously going to sign with someone before the season starts...its only a matter of time now.

and GAY the devils start the season on a 9 game road trip...wtf?

I doubt that because Lou does not want to pay over 6 million for him.
Last I heard the sharks have the cash and are interested.

hmmm thats true. oh well. its a decision for him to make probably whats best for his family too, it may come down to whats easiest for the family, and instead of going to the entire other end of the country he can stay close in NJ :) yeah yeah! probably wont decide anything but YEAH! :)

and yeah syntax it does suck. and the devils play the canucks this year, in Vancouver!

we don't have the cash, unless he signs a one year deal.

we have 7 RFA and UFAs next year including:

Milan Michalek, Steve Bernier, Joe Pavelski, Matt Carle, Patrick Marleau (UFA, will be resigned), Curtis Brown, Patrick Rissmiller.

still, itd be nice to have him and JT on the same powerplay. but only for a one-year deal.

Rumors are going around saying hes on the market for a trade to Oilers and Habs. Maybe then you would have the money to sign him.

  no wonder you like bonds your in denial. only joking...

Canucks better make a trade soon. Need more then one line, and need to get rid of Naslund (I hate him...)

the sharks are probably one of my favorite teams. i dont really have another favorite other than NJ, but there a team i dont mind seeing win a game. and they play the devils in NJ this year. i wanna get to that!

I don't mind having Naslund. However if we could pick up someone better and possibly a bit younger I wouldn't mind seeing a trade being made.

Sadly I don't see him going anywhere.
Unless his picks up his stats, he won't be moved anytime soon.
Leafs first game is at home to the senators.

i cant stand the senators...wont lie. not cause they beat the devils in the playoffs. but i just cant stand there team. like alfredsson (idk if i spelt it right) i dont like him at all. i dont like heatley either. and emery. i just dont like theyre team in general.

SPORTSNET.CA REPORTS THE EDMONTON OILERS HAVE SIGNED UFA DEFENCEMAN SHELDON SOURAY. MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW.

TSN.CA: reports Red Deer Rebels GM and head coach Brent Sutter is expected to announce later today that he's stepping down from those roles and could potentially become the next head coach of the New Jersey Devils.

NEW JERSEY STAR-LEDGER: Rich Chere reports the amount of money required to re-sign RFAs like Zach Parise and Paul Martin likely prevents the Devils from signing UFAs like Sheldon Souray or Alexei Yashin. Chere believes Parise could command around $4 million per season, suggesting a four-year, $16 million contract might be workable for both sides, while Martin could double his $2 million salary from last season.

Just the latest news from the National Hockey League. I am surprised that the oilers signed Souray.

response to the first thing: god damn.

response to the second thing: well thats cool.

response to the third thing: well since Souray is gone. id much rather see the devils keep Parise and Martin, then Yashin coming in. i dont like Yashin. and i dont thin Parise is going to demand 4 mil a year. i think he will settle for what the team needs as oppose to needing alot of money.
