Last post in this thread:

I hope that the Ottawa Sennators or the Detroit Red Wings win the cup..

I would hate to see the Ducks win..

Note:

I'll be back in September/October or whenever the Canucks start...

Or I may decide to begin posting again in late/early summer..

Just depends on how busy I'll be..

Other than that have a great summer and enjoy the playoffs.

we should not forget about the magical summer that will occur of the free agent market. sharks need to do the following:
1. Trade Nabokov for a #1 D-man and a prospect/pick
2. Resign either Hannan or Rivet, whichever is cheaper
3. Sign Ryan Symth to play with Joe and Cheech (Joe passes to Cheech the sniper, Symth puts in the rebounds that don't go in)
Here are my dream lines for next year:

Symth-Thornton-Cheechoo
Marleau-Pavelski-Michalek
Rissmiller-Brown-Grier
Clowe-Goc-Bernier

Vlasic-#1 D-man (Dan Boyle, possibly?)
Ehrhoff-McLaren
Carle-Hannan/Rivet

Toskala
Patzold (prospect Goalie who's ready, in my opinion)

no 1st round pick this year, but we don't really need one with all of our young talent. GO SHARKS

they are definitley not trading nabokov if they trade a goalie, its gonna be their backup whos good too.

i assume you mean Toskala. well, they probably won't do that because they will trade to make salary cap room. Nabby=5 million Toskala=1.5 million. how would they make money by trading toskala?

oh, and i have 1 word about Bonds...STEROIDS!

hey, how come he hit over 700 home runs if pitchers were doing it too? how come babe ruth never had to face the best negro league pitchers? how come cy young got to pitch on a higher mound? people have been cheating from the beginning of time, nobody cares.

Time for an update..

Tomorrow I'll be purchasing some new goalie pads similar to the ones shown in the below photo's.

What I love about my new pads:

- Their meant for butterfly goalies
- Smoother surface (Better rebound control)
- Easier to move around in compared to my current pads

Can't wait until tomorrow.

As for other stuff here is all of the sigs I've created, hockey related, while this thread was in "hibernation"

Oh and the Anaheim Ducks won the Stanley Cup ..

How degrading..

i posted this in the rumors thread, but ill post it here too

UPDATE: it's been an exciting day for the Sharkies, let's recap:

TO TORONTO: Vesa Toskala (1.375 mil)
Mark Bell :thankyougod: (2.175 mil)

TO SAN JOSE: 13th overall 2007 draft
2nd round pick 2007
4th round pick 2007

-------------------------------------------

TO ST. LOUIS: 13th overall 2007 draft
2nd round pick 2007
3rd round pick 2008

TO SAN JOSE: 9th overall 2007 draft (Logan Couture taken here, smart, good character center with an awesome shot, extremely soft hands, a poor man's Joe Thornton passing skills and absolutely no skating skill, his only weakness)

-------------------------------------------

TO WASHINGTON: 2nd round pick 2007 (41st overall)
2nd round pick 2008

TO SAN JOSE: 28th overall pick 2007 (Nick Petreski taken here, basically more bad-ass than Pronger without the offense, 6'3", 213 pound heavy hitting, mean-streak guy)

-------------------------------------------

so, at the end of the day we traded Toskala, Bell, a 2nd rounder this year, a 2nd rounder next year, and a 3rd rounder next year for the 9th and 28th overall picks, as well as a 4th rounder this year. we cleared up almost 3.5 mil in cap space (used nicely on Rivet) and got a terrific center and a bad-ass d-man. now, we just have to find a quality left-winger (ryan symth, ryan symth, please, lord, ryan symth) and a top 4 d-man(hannan if he'll stay cheap or rafaskli if we can afford him). pretty good day.
