The only reason why they love-drinking it, is basically because its cold, if its not cold then the beer would taste sour and nasty!!
Many beers taste fine warm. Only shitty bear doesn't. A warm guiness isnt that bad!

America is nuts in that sense.
You can legally; get married - have a mortgage - have kids - have sex - star in a porn movie - hold down a job/pay tax - watch any kind of depraved movie you like - drive a motor vehicle/bike - all at 18 years old.
Three years actually. Good point though :)

There are multiple Reasons
1. Ussually, I simply wouldnt have time.
2. I dont want to act like my friends why'll theyre drunk, because its simply ridiculous.
3. Its illegal, although this wouldnt stop me if I wanted to.
4. (And most importantly) As I already stated, I cant afford to drink. No, not because Im poor, because Ive got too much at stake. You guys dont understand that 'a few drinks every other weekend' (posted by someone I forget who) could destroy everything Ive worked for. I am either lifting or training every single day of the week, sometimes both, and I cant afford to miss a single day. Think thats kinda strict? Kinda overboard? Why not take a day off? Ask me those questions when Im headlining wrestlemania. No, Im not joking.

Number 3: 'it tasting good' not being on my list of reasons to drink. This is probably because most of the people Ive asked are my friends, and my friends have not been drinking very long, so you can imagine that the two answers I have supplied are more suitable.
I promise your mind will change. You only feel this way because of your environment. When you are a couple years older it will be vastly different.

1. Examples for "no time to drink" A glass of wine with dinner, meet up with friends at a bar for happy hour (cheap snacks!), a margarita at the weekend BBQ,

2. Your friends are morons for drinking just to get drunk. A small dose of alcohol can even make the most timid nerd a little cooler as it smooths out his nerves and helps reduce his inhibition. A glass of wine for each person is a perfect way to get everyone talking to each other

3. Being illegal means you miss out on alot of what makes drinking good. I imagine your friends drinking generic brand vodka from plastic party cups

4. I stick to my examples for point 1 and point 2. I argue having a drink at the appropriate time and amount would be BENEFICIAL to your health/life.

I understand that my reasoning is not going to change your mindset, so Im not going to continue this debate.

I do find it intruiging that you have promised me that my mind will change. With all due respect, my mind is made up, and my goals are too important for 'a few drinks here and there.'

You sound angry in your post. It was never my intention to come across with a negative attitude. I thought this was a fun thread?

I accept and believe your mind is made up. I also know that even your strongest beliefs can change in time.

But you have to wait 2 years to have a beer?!

Alcohol is a depressant. But it also lowers inhibitions, relaxes you, and kills brain cells. After a few drinks you can feel good. Happy and uplifted. But when you take it to extremes (i.e puking your guts out nearly unconscious) thats when it becomes a problem.
Hey if you ain't tried it don't knock it

Britain has a nihilistic drinking culture though. kids at 16 getting drunk. And practically every young person getting hammered evety week - theres definately something wrong...

Public consumption and Purchase is illegal for under 21, im not sure becaus laws differe from state to state like LIKs smoking thing, but here in florida is fine to have alcohol privately, of course with your guardians consent.
So if a friend wants have a party and his dad agrees everyone can drink then its ok, as long as the people attending guardians agree also.
plus i really dont care because nobody gets busted and where i am at, if you wanted to drink you can take like a 4 hour boat ride and then there little children walking around with bottles. BTW its the islands the rum all abou

Idk about you guys but in my community kids are all over Vodka i have no idea why, lacks in flavor for me, but then again theres rum allover here, and the bums will supply anyone with beer for a few dollars.

I understand your stric training regime or whatever but how does drinking effect that? because you were stating i dont want to mess it up now. Can you explain how that would mess it up. the only thing i can think of is drinking too much and being drunk so distracted or unsafe while training.

Ciper: I didnt mean to sound angry. I apologize. I look forward to proving you wrong, its a great motivator

FatalOrgasm: Its just something that I dont want to be caught up in, ever. It probably wouldnt affect anything initially, but I know how habits form. Alcohol becomes a problem for some people, and not for other people. In the end, its a bargain and I dont feel like putting my career on the line.

well ya i understand if its something that will mess up your life/career and its something unnecessary then why bother. Its like You love Dr Pepper but you are diabetic so you Kill yourself.....

Thank you for understanding.

Oh, and have you guys ever heard of natural highs? I have nothing to base my judgement on (Ive never been drunk), but I would be willing to bet that its a lot better than getting drunk.

Diet Doctor Peper tastes more like regular Doctor Pepper
At least thats what the commercial says.

well ya cuz ther cool so they make cool commercials.
But no Diet anything is garbage, believing you will lose weight or anything is ridiculous, the only thing it is good for ar diabetics, i have have jsut about every diet soda and they are all crap. Taste nothing like the regular at all.
Dr. Check tastes more like Dr pepper than diet Dr pepper.

Diet coke leaves the weird flavor in my mouth for the whole day its really annoying. its like i can suck my teeth and diet coke comes out, bleh.
I would consider a natural high as being filled with adrealine or being excited you did awesome on something, like for me playing paintball is a natural high, i cant breath worth a **** and im constantly anxious, love it

i think seeing game credits is a little bit of a natural high to, since of accomplishment.

hey man when i put 30+ hours into a game and then i beat it i feel damn good about it. Like Okami that game was like 40 hours long.

hah I'm a dumbass. I added 2 to 18 and came up with 21!
See my post above (it was a hard day at work yesterday).
