1v1 brawl league

Is there any chance of me being able to play them?

No, they snub online play. If I always had access to great players offline, so would I.

And these are the Houston tournaments:

You can see Houston's brawl community is huge, and the tournaments are quite legit. M2K and Azen went to HOBO 11 and won. The friend I practice with has the nickname "Gar" in case you want to see how he places. I believe at the highest he got to ninth place in one of them.

Also, I used King Dedede once upon a time. After a while though, the repetitiveness got boring so I started using him mainly to float at the edge, eat people, and suicide. Works sometimes, and it's hilarious when it does.

Last thing, I suggest against relying on MK for success. Far too many people around the world have relied on MK and Snake to achieve greatness, meaning a lot of people know how to fight them.
Which reminds me, I forgot to tell you to work on your Snake's recovery by avoiding using the cypher while passing by directly next to the edge. I didn't do it to you because if you hate edgehogging you'd hate this, but what happens a lot is that if snake is grabbed at the edge while in the middle of the cypher, and receives no hit, when the grab ends he'll fall to his death.

I think I'm done with this post, should come here more often in the day. Cheers.

@Anax I wondered why you didn't do that to me with Yoshi while you had the chance to. You fall pretty quick at a diagonal angle such makes it harder to get hit with the C4 explosion. I consider that fair but not edgehogging. It's like footstooling Jigglypuff when she tries to get back to the stage. It's fun to do :)

I have checked the tournaments for California but most of them take place in the Los Angeles area and I live 5 hours and 30 minutes away from LA.

So I won't be able to play your tourny friends? :(

I'm afraid not. I'm lucky to play them myself, usually I just play for fun with friends, but since I have weird mains and can handle all characters decently, I can still prove useful for them. For example, I helped my friend improve against Game and Watches, and recently I showed him he should work against squirtle.

And I seriously think it's fair game to edgehog, since it has to be done with timing to get the invisibility rates, just like footstolling requires timing to jump on their head or grabbing requires timing, no?

btw, I do think you have potential, but what you could use is some offline practice somehow to get used to the different pace. That's where luck comes in, you need friends with equal or better ability. I used to practice melee with my cousin, but when I became better I got stuck completely and didn't improve. I got luckier with Brawl.

My friends don't like brawl or the wii and my cousins aren't good at it so that leaves me to practice with my little brother. He's pretty good but spams Snake when he's loosing. So I don't have many offline choices. At school I pwned everyone in my class when the teacher took her game and wii. I also beat the kid that thought he was hella good and he doesn't want to play me. So I rely on online play the most.
I hate it when people that become really good don't want to play people with lesser skill than them. I worked my way up with some people that I have registered to a point that they ask me to play them instead of the other way around.

When I hear someone say that you need skill in edgehogging I feel like a petifyle is saying you need skill in molesting children. That's how I feel about edgehogging. You are not the first one to tell me about needing skills on doing coward sh*t.

I play with everyone, even if they're not good. As long as people don't spam, I enjoy it.

Talking about that, I'm open to some practice right now if you can.

Time zones. Too late for me. I do play people regardless of their skills because I'm not a messed up person. Personally I enjoy playing people that beat me a lot so I could learn how to improve myself. It's more fun to play someone who beats me in fair ways than me beating someone a lot.

You make it sound like it's earlier here

Anyway, tomorrow night is probably going to be my last night I'll be able to play online, so I'll be accepting friendlies, officials, or anything fun really. If CK's around I'd love to have that random/items match that has yet to happen.

This is were putting your location is important. I put the city, state, and country that I live in so when I organize a match I will look at their location then look up their time zone and I will have a match set. But there are people that put stupid stuff like "Location: In Front Of Your Moma's House". You are not helpful. Sorry for not being able to play you right now.(In Front Of Your Momma's House is the name of a song, weird name)

Dane Cook is hella funny! He's talking about porn! I love Comedy Central :)

What's this?! I used to say that all that time. You stole my quote. :p Doesn't matter though, lol.

Lol... Didn't notice xP
*starts thinking up another quote*
