Majesco Entertainment announced today that it’s about to release a sequel to its wildly successful dance-fitness game, Zumba Fitness, for the Wii. Zumba Fitness 2 will be shimmying its way onto the Wii this holiday season, and, mysteriously, “another to-be-announced platform in early 2012,” according to Majesco. *Here’s Jesse Sutton, Chief Executive Officer at Majesco, talking about the Zumba Fitness phenomenon:
“We’ve seen an overwhelming demand for the next iteration of the franchise and I can promise you that Zumba Fitness 2’s new and improved features will challenge Zumba enthusiasts and entice new followers to join the party,” said Jesse Sutton, Chief Executive Officer, Majesco.* “The Zumba Fitness franchise of video games connects the exhilarating Zumba dance workouts loved by millions with uniquely interactive console platforms that are accessible and fun for consumers of all ages.”
Featuring over 30 hot new music tracks, electrifying choreography, a huge variety of new dance styles and brand new arenas, Zumba Fitness 2 invites players to dance their way into shape with a fun and proven program. The successor to the best-selling original, Zumba Fitness 2 gets players moving with world renowned Zumba creator, Beto, and celebrity instructors Tanya Beardsley and Gina Grant as they lead them through each exhilarating routine ranging in style from Merengue and Samba to Indian and Latin Pop. The game is set in five new, dynamic, environments, including a Miami Yacht and a Los Angeles nightclub.
The all-new progress tracker adds up calories burned, grades dance styles, and displays trophies, stats and overall rank. Playing in Single Song, Full Class or Zumba Party modes, players will have a blast with the unique dance fitness experience as it shapes, tones and transforms their bodies.
