I'm not much of a gamer, so I get stuck often. I can't open the gate to Hyrule Field to get the kids back to Ordon. Any hints for me?

You need to defeat one of the enemies outside of the gates to get a key to continue through.

Use a walkthrough only when you get stuck. Using a walkthrough and going through the whole game like that would suck all the fun out of the game and make it boring. *nodnod*
