I am at the part where the guy has summoned the hawk and I need to get in the windmill house, but I dont think I can do it without as the cat says"scaring the person from behind" but how do I go about doing that?

Go to the house at the right side of the guy, and there's a rock there. Go to the edge, and Midna will help you there to reach the roof of the house.
