Has anybody seen the zeitgeist movie?

It says that our money is worth nothing amongst many other crazy things.

The 9/11 theories and the Jesus theories have been debunked, but I can't find any sites debunking the part about the Federal Reserve.

Yeah, it's long but it is worth watching.

Anybody know of any debunking or half-truths about that part?
Because that would be pretty bad if it was all true...

well all i want to say is technically our money is worth nothing. let me tell you why.

ok, why is anything anything? because we say it is right? so we decided however long ago that things needed an exchange, i cant just give you this magical fire producing rock, you need to give me a dead sabertooth or something. so we eventually got to money. but the only reason money is worth anything is because we specified it in this way. we could have made something like wax our currency, and today we'd be giving a crayola 32 pack for mario galaxy.

it's all how we define things. we say what things are and thats that. the question that scares me about that is, what defines reality? is anything even real?

Well money used to be backed up by gold, but its not really backed up by anything anymore. It used to actually stand for a certain amount of gold, but now its just paper.

so far all the attempt at "debunking" have all been really pissy people who have gotten wrong info or are just wrong entirely. i have been waiting for some decent opposing side argument but i haven't found any:/
