I bought a classic controller pro to play Sonic Spinball, thinking that I could use the "Z buttons" to flip the flippers, so I didn't have to use the same thumb for both flippers. The game says I can only use the a, y and b buttons for the flippers. Does anyone know how to switch to the "Z buttons"?

You cant with out rewiring the pad
It was a Mega Drive game. So it uses the default Mega Drive pad lay out (they never had shoulder buttons)

if this a VC game, Nintendo didn't make a way to customize controls.
