XBL Headset/Chat Queston

A quick question about the Xbox headset, I notice when unpluged the chat comes through the main sound system, is there any trick or setting to make it like this while a headset is plugged in? I've got some friends coming by to play Halo tomorrow and they don't have mics and I want them to hear all whats going on with out me repeating everything and to be able to hear the hilariously funny conversations that can go on in the Halo universe.

yes, just go into the game settings and there is an option for it to come out the TV and headset both
