PQube has announced that its forthcoming game Winter Sports 2012, will be released on Friday, January 27 on the Wii, 3DS and PC. The game is designed to capture the thrill and excitement of some of the most high-octane, adrenaline-filled events on snow and ice, as the player gets to experience the rush of hurtling down a mountain side at over 120mph on nothing but a pair of skis or a snowboard. The game is packed with more than 50 challenges, spread across 10 winter sports and Olympic-style events, all taking place in sub-zero temperatures. You can either go it alone in single-player mode, or compete against four of your friends in split-screen mode. There are also plenty of rewards and unlockables included to enhance the game’s replay value, as well as the chance for players to get involved with the in-depth character design tool. And best of all, the game has full support for the Wii Balance Board. Visually, you’ll be able to enjoy spectacular slow-motion replays, and the emotive soundtrack tops off the whole experience. Here’s Andy Pearson, Marketing Manager at PQube, talking about the game: [/FONT]

“Winter Sports 2012 captures that unique atmosphere surrounding the winter events. There’s an impressive range of challenges and the broad array of disciplines ensures there’s plenty of replay ability – 4 player split screen is also a lot of fun, competing head to head when you are sat next to your friends and family is a lot more exciting than when done it’s over a head set or web cam”
