Will Japanese controllers and accessories work on US wiis?

As Wii controllers are in short supply in the US, i was wondering if instead i could order a japanese wii controller from the various websites.

Or, does anyone have a site that can track Wiimotes and Nunchukus? iTrackr only gives Target stats, and i was wondering if there were any other sites that would work.

i cant confirm that a jap remote will work, but i would think it should.

my uncle just came back from america, he had his american wii and his remotes worked on mine and vice versa.

the games didnt work on each of the systems, but you could have probably expected that.
