WiiWare: Frogger Announced-1.052009-10-28 22:33:01Maura SKonami today announced a new Frogger title for WiiWare™ called Frogger Returns, an updated version of the arcade classic. The core elements of the basic gameplay that made the original so addictive will still be there as you try and guide Frogger through the perils of the big city and back to his marshy homeland, but it’s been spruced up with better graphics, a new camera angle and new levels.
Players will get to experience entirely new challenges in levels set in streets, sewers and subways. As well as facing lots of new enemies, Frogger can use several all-new power ups such as time reverse, invincibility and time freeze to help him get back to his lily pad in one fully rounded and not-squashed-at-all piece.
Frogger Returns is 12 times bigger than the original game, with new 3D graphics and local multiplayer capabilities, enabling players to compete with their friends in timed capture-the-pad races.* Frogger Returns will be available to download via WiiWare™ by the end of 2009. If these screenshots are anything to go by, it’s going to be epic!
