WiiConnect24 not working right?

Anyone else not receiving messages or having friends added to address book?

It was working a day or so after I got it, but stopped about a week ago. I managed to add two email addresses to the address book, and receive the confirmations.

I'm able to connect no problem - just downloaded two games from the store. But even though WiiConnect24 is set to on, I can't receive an email I sent myself ~2 days ago. And none of my friends have been added to address book, despite trying ~3-4 days ago.

Anyone else encountering this problem?

Running my wireless in non-secured, G and channel 11, so that shouldn't be an issue.

hmmm is it turned on all the time?.... i mean like do you have it just sitting at the main wii menu screen, because i know mine doesnt receive messages for some reason while it is on but once i push the power button then it goes into the internet and gets a message (because i have a blue light glowing) AND before i power it off i check my messages and nothing....

im getting the same problem, it let me add a friend but I cant send them messeges. (they've added me too and cant send messeges)

lol, having worked PC tech support, I know that phrase well.

But to answer the question, whenever I send more than about three messages at a time, I get a message that says something about a problem with WC24 and to try later. I try later, and it works again.

& what do you mean vagrant, am I doing something wrong with my setup?

I have an internet connection.
I have WiiConnect24 turned on.
Isn't that exactly what's needed to receive messages?

is your connection encrypted or not? do you have certain ports disabled on your router (mainly if your going through a business one, usually business internet locks up porn/email/games/etc..) list more details!

Nope, no encryption on my wireless network.

Using the DI-714P+ router.
The Wii is on the DHCP list.
The only ports I have forwarded are 80 and 62418, one for my http server and one for bittorrent.

i have a similar problem, i can send and recibe email, but i cant send messages to other wiis, tough both of the users already registered the codes is this happening to someone else too ( THE MII PARADE DOESNT WORK EITHER)

ive sent myself some emails and they show up in my hotmail box but none of the replies i send back to my wii have arrived... this being more than a week since i sent the first one.

I was able to send myself e-mail and receive it on the Wii however, the Wii friends I'm supposed to have are still not enabled. I'm not sure what's going on.
