Wii U games on Wii

I have searched and searched - all I can find is that the Wii U will play Wii games, but will the Wii play Wii U games?

I wasn't trying to be funny fag. I like NHL hockey and I was hoping to be able to play it on the Wii when NHL13 Comes out. Thanks for the answer you dick.
