Wii Shop Channel

Trying to connect to the Wii Shop channel and its just sat on the connecting, please wait screen - its been like this for about 5 mins. this is the first time I have tried to connect to the shop, i can get my weather forecast and i have all available updates. any ideas?

I would reccommend searching the forum, because many, many people have these same exact problems all the time.

log into your router and change the default channel to either 1 or 11.

That should work.
