After Wii Sports and Wii Fit, get ready for Wii Party! From October 8th in Europe, Wii owners will be able to go mini-game crazy, with over 80 different mini games featured. The game is compatible with up to four Wii Remotes, and as ever, you can expect your Miis to be right up there in the action, front and centre, spotlight hogs that they are! The game has 13 different game modes, such as the intriguing House Party mode, which apparently turns your living room into a pivotal part of the gameplay, featuring mini-games such as Hide ‘n’ Hunt, where someone hides the Wii Remote and everyone else has to look for it, helped by the Wii Remote itself which will occasionally make strange sounds as a clue to its whereabouts. In Time Bomb, players pass the ticking Wii Remote amongst themselves and try to avoid shaking it. Hopefully it doesn’t literally blow up in their hands though!
The whole thing is hosted by Party Phil, who will help you get the most from the game by making suggestions based on your available time and specific mini-game requirements. I hope he’s as nice as the Wii Fit animated balance board that wore a party hat on my birthday! Either way, what’s the betting we’ll all be playing Wii Party come holiday season, can’t wait!
