Wii Online Demos Confirmed!!!!

The rumour has been lingering for quite some time now, but we've finally got confirmation: Nintendo will allow users to download demos of upcoming Wii games through wi-fi.

Downloads will be saved on the consoles' 512Mb of internal memory or on SD cards.

Details on which games will be available and when they'll become available were not given.

Wii UK will keep you updated.

Could this be the surprise that Reggie was talking about Nintendo working on before the end of the year? If it is, it would be insanely awesome if the first demo is like Super Mario Galaxy or something.

If this is true will Nintendo DS demos also be available through the Wii (much like how you can go to a game store and download them)?

This is great news. Hope it's true! Now if only Nintendo would get their Connect24 service up and running (besides the VC downloads).
