Wii not getting connected to std TV

I have just got an used std TV, cable is cooming good on this, when I connect Wii to it and select Video, I do not see wii out put on TV.
I am not sure if it is TV problem or Wii console.
Any guidence to identify issue will be great. My TV is of Panasonoic make

Is the wii connected to your tv through the SCART box or the RED-WHITE-YELLOW, in any case check that all leads are connected securely and it should be a case of scanning your AV channels, some TV's have 3 AV channels, mine does, AV 1, AV 2, AV2S (or av25 cant tell on my tv)

Failing that you may have a dodgy AV lead
