I'm really hoping someone can help me, because I'm on the verge of giving up.
I've recently upgraded my BT broadband connection to wireless using a BT Home Hub router.
When setting up the Wii to connect to this router, it detects it ok when I search for an access point. I enter in the key code for the router ok, but when I get to the connection test, after about 30 seconds, the screen just freezes.
I don't get an error message, it just locks-up.
Now I've tried all number of things suggested on the official site, such as changing the broadcast channel, downloading the latest firmware and checking the MAC address - nothing seems to work.
I don't think it's a problem with the router, because I've managed to connect my DS with no problems and a laptop computer.
Is it possible I have a faulty Wii?
If it's important, I did use the Nintendo USB WiFi Connector for a while (although that seldom worked either).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
