wii controllers and europe anyone?

i moved to europe about a year ago.. and i just came back to the states to visit family, and i decided to buy a wii.. does anyone know if i were to buy a controller in europe would it work on the american system? i know that games don't work because of the region code. but do the controllers work??
any info is greatly appreciated thanks..

I'm pretty sure that Wii hardware is region free, only the software is affected by country. So yeah, you'll be fine.

Will be fine, its only when you have to plug something in to the mains where you encounter incompatibility.
