WiFi connect issues

As many, received Wii for Christmas. Working great. Confused about Wifi.
Have WAN set up for computers at home. Do I or don't I need some usb
adapter installed at the PC to have internet access at the Wii console.
One referenced says not needed, another says need usb wifi installed.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Go to your options and click on 'Internet' and then Wireless and then search for your Router
And connect to it?

If your Broadband and Wired up without a Router you'll need the WiFi USB Dongle
