i was doing some ... umm ... stuff on the internet channel when windows, yup windows popped up on my wii telling me i had 9 viruses on my computer, but no way to eliminate them.

naturally i am not alarmed as we discussed years ago that a computer virus cannot affect the wii. my wii still runs fine but i don't understand why windows would suddenly show up on an opera broswer. ideas anyone?

Hmm
Investigating those hardcore sites then?

It is a weird one.
Is your computer fine?
(If its a antivirussoft one you have a problem)

It's a fake pop-up intended to trick PC users into installing a fake virus scanner that instead loads up the computer with viruses. It means nothing on the Wii though.

No, you're safe. Code (virus or otherwise) designed to run on a PC cannot run on the Wii.

beware if u have sd card make sure u dont put it in ur coomputer unless u got a good antivirus my old laptop was hit by a virus passed on from my wii to sd card

This is not possible. The virus got on your computer through other means.

then that sd card was bad then i put my sd card in and it said:

"Windows has detected a virus in Removable Mass storage device "D:" do you wish to remove it?" so i did and it was a file called "Nate"
