The Scrubbiest of Hunters
Remembrance Day, Armed Forces Day, whatever it is referred to as is all the same; a time to honor the brave and the fallen who've fought for our country in it's most dire times of need and strife, when instead they could of fled or hidden themselves, remain with their family or friends. To reflect apon their courage to throw themselves into the merciless fray of war for the sake of their country.
So, what better to do than to make a thread of it, eh? I've already seen to it to visit my grandfather's resting place and honor the world's finest a moment of silence, so I thought I'd end it off with this. Throw out your comments about the bravery of your country's soldiers, pay homage to any relatives or friends you know of who are ready, or had sacrificed themselves for their country's and fellow man's livelihood, the works.
May the brave live free, and the departed rest in peace.
"But fame is theirs - and future days
On pillar'd brass shall tell their praise;
Shall tell - when cold neglect is dead -
'These for their country fought and bled.'"
