Very Unusual.... Wii plays GC games but wont play Wii games

I was playing Guitar Hero and my Wii just stopped! It makes noises whenever a Wii game is inserted but for Gamecube its fine. Wtf?????

Sounds like you may need a console repair. Perhaps a new optical drive maybe. Do you still have a warranty on it?
