very dumb question

ok this is a very dumb question but where are the gamecube memory card slots of the wii? because they are not by the controller slots on mine. can anyone help? or is there even gamecube slots on it? i just bought my wii yesterday from walmart

They are under the flap behind the one that the controller ports are.
