Using Gamecube memory cards on the WII

Just sein if anyone else has this problem that my gamecube memory card works fine in slot b but in slot a it can't be read by the wii, so I can't play cube games.

Sent a help request into nintendo, waiting for feedback just checking to see if anyone else had this problem.

My card is from 'piranha'.

Have you heard from nintendo yet?

I haven't heard back from Nintendo but i noticed the memory card I had was a 3rd party, I returned it for a Nintendo brand memory card and it works fine. Guessing the wii doesn't like 3rd party cards.

3rd party memory cards for the GC were never officially supported by Nintendo; it is a logical assumption that 3rd party memory cards won't work with the Wii since the only tested with official Nintendo GC memory cards.
