US wii in the UK

Does ne1 know if you can use a US wii in the UK by just plugging into a mains adapter?

Most tvs in the uk are able to support a NTSC signal which a usa wii will emit. So yes in turn it shud work by using a converter for the power.

Im however having difficulties getting my wii form the UK to work in the USA so im kinda in same situation as you except i need a tv that can support a PAL signal that my UK wii is emitting. I hear multisystem tv will do it but its case of finding one

only problem i can think of would be getting games that would work with the us wii dont knnow if there are zoneing restrictions

Yeah the wii is unfortunatley region locked so infact you have to buy games from where the console is bought from.

Getting them sent over to the uk wont cost alot

get a UK power adapter on eBay for a tenner, and your wii will work in the UK, also if you get games on the internet from the states its still cheaper than games in the UK. I have a US wii here, and it works great
