US Wii in Colombia, region question

I have a friend who wants to send her brother a wii in Colombia from the US, but I'm not sure what to tell her about the region coding on the discs. Colombia uses NTSC just like the US, but I can't tell if the region coding is the same.

I've googled and searched and can't find a listing of the actual regions that the wii codes.

Anyone know if Colombia uses the same region code as the US for Wii games? They don't for standard DVD's (I think they're region 4 or something).

In terms of the wii, they have the same version as in the US. And it's Colombia, not Columbia.

She'll be very happy to hear that they use the same version, she's been dying to send her brother a game console back home. Thanks a bunch for the help, despite my poor spelling (which I'm about to fix...)
