Thinking of getting S-video cable

Does anyone have it?

The image is a little fuzzy on my HDTV with the composite cable so I was thinking of purchasing the S-video cable, but is it really worth it? How much better will the picture look?

Are there 3-in-1 wii/360/ps3 VGA cables (like the component ones) that I could buy? I'm did a quick search and nothing came up so Im assuming the answer to that is no.

I also cant hook it up to component cables because that slot is already being used by my cable box and I dont have an extra component input.

Component cables are your best bet, but there's not much of a difference on the wii.

XCM also makes universal component cables that have built-in selector switches. Most universal cables don't have switches, and really can only be used with one console at a time (ie. they shouldn't be hooked up to more than 1 console at a time). S-Video is not that great. It's used in a number of different things to allow pretty good universal connection (there's a whole tonne of things that have the sockets for it, so chances are (especially with modern TV's), you will be able to recieve a picture from almost any device.

However, it does have the major drawback of not supplying sound, so external equipment will be needed for that.

If you're looking for something to get a better picture on your HDTV, I suggest looking into upscalers, although they can be a little expensive.

IMO, an upscaler won't do any good; the end result is still that the Wii produces a maximum of 480p output. The best upscaler is going to be the one in your TV. Whatever your TV's native resolution is (i.e. 720p or 1080p) will be what the signal gets upscaled to. Save your money, as an upscaler won't make a difference.

a good dedicated upscaler will make a bit of a difference on large (40+) screens. however, depending on the TV it may or may not be worth it. some tvs (sony, sharp, smasung, lg) all upscale very well from what ive seen/read.
