CVG reports that Tekken game director and series producer Katsuhiro Harada has been talking to the fabulously named Dusty Cartridge about the Wii U, telling them that people should be less concerned with the Wii U’s technical specs and more concerned with its unique features. Now often when people say that, it’s because the specs aren’t actually that good, and they’re overcompensating, but in the case of the Wii U, we can rest assured that Harada says that it is most definitely a powerful enough machine to handle all that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 can throw at it, and more, so no panic there, but more than that, Harada says that what really makes the Wii U special is the use of the GamePad.
“For example, if you’re playing Tag 2 on the Wii U at home and your parents get mad at you for taking up the TV too much,” said Harada, “you can just take it to your bed and start playing there. Being able to take a high end game and play it in your bed is something that’s really unique so that’s the thing people are kind of missing.”
When the developers are excited, that’s when we start getting excited too!
