Andriasang reports that Miracle Kidz have just released screenshots from forthcoming WiiWare game, Downtown Nekketsu Dodgeball, which is based on the Famicom game Nekketsu Koko Dodgeball Bu, known as Super Dodge Ball outside of Japan. According to Andriasang, Downtown Nekketsu Dodgeball is basically a revamped version of the classic NES game, with gameplay and AI, among other things, modernised and updated. I’m sure everyone knows the rules of dodgeball, and basically the game stays true to the gentle art of the sport – your aim is to chuck the ball at your opponent so hard that you knock them into heaven! Gameplay is simple, with the only controls required being the d-pad on your Wii Remote and two buttons. You can choose to either control your own team, or select the AI customisation system and have it control your team automatically while you watch the action unfold. Different gameplay modes include Tournament and Match, with the former pitting one player against the CPU, and the latter giving you the option to either play against the computer or against one other live opponent. Look for the game to be released some time in May.
