Standby Wii

Hey guys I'm not sure if it's suppose to do it, but in standby mode (wiiconnect24 on) my Wii's side panel gets pretty hot. Anyone else have this problem ? or is it suppose to be like that

Mine stays normally cool. Not too hot at least...and I've been keeping mine on for at least 1-2 weeks on standby every night.

i think thats a known issue... im not too sure i think its been brought up before just do a quick search an im sure you will find it

yeah it gets hot because its on all the time. Buy a fan for it, i bought one on ebay, it works great and keeps it really cool.

Mine Does That... Bt It Take High Heat To Damage It... DOn't Worry.

Yeh its because the fan isnt spinning when wiiconnect24 is on. It shouldnt do any harm and if your really worried buy a fan from ebay as mentioned above.

The fan still works for me when its still on Wiiconnect24.

ive found that it gets much hotter if its sitting on the carpet than on something like a table or a shelve on an entertainment center. if its on the floor, try and find a better place for it

I leave standby connection on once, maybe at most, twice a week... mine gets hot too, it's sitting out on an open desk, and my fan does not come on and there are no settings or tricks i've found yet to turn the fan on.. mine gets hotter on standby in a couple hours than it does when its left on wii parade and/or playing games.
