Well i have a large familly and we have get togethers quite often. I used to bring my ps2 just to keep my brother and little cousins oucupied, but thats about it, i might play for like 10 min, and then it would just be the little kids. Now i bring my wii, and everyone wants to try it! its a big hit, especially wii sports because of the multiplayer. My point is that given the choice of a system to play, people would pick the activness of the wii over a "sit on the couch" system like ps2/ps3. And i have found that the wiimote is mor durable than i had imagined, dont worry about it being dropped, my uncle was playing tennis, and got so into it that he slammed the wiimote into the celing trying to make the character jump and swing, and there was a big dent in the celing but the wiimote was fine. ive also had it droped a few times also and it still looks and works like new.
