Silly annoying but...How do I enter doors??

I mapped up on the d-pad to shield, because that's how I wanna play, and I cannot enter doors on Subspace emissary!!! Help!! What a silly, stupid problem :sick: :crazy:

Anyone else having this dumb problem?

I'm just using Wiimote to play.

try whatever you use to move up or jump and if it still isnt working i dont know what to say. only reason i remember using the GC controller is because thats the same way you enter doors in paper mario games.

As far as I am concerned, this is officially a pretty big bug in the control. Once I set up to jump, I can enter doors again. But up as anything else and I can't enter doors.

Come on, someone has got to have experienced this.

Have you tried the B trigger maybe? I'm just guessing because thats what the shiel used to be...

Worth a shot though!

I dont know how to fix it, but heres some ideas.

1. press the jump button slowly....
2. do an up smash attack next to the door
3. while your shielding press up

Just in case anyone else has the problem, I couldn't solve it...just had to map up to jump while playing Subspace Emissary. Thankfully I can beat it then take up for jump off.
