SEGA has today given us the first glimpse of forthcoming epic fighting game Tournament of Legends by unveiling a teaser trailer. The game features mythological figures battling each other with blade weapons such as the Battle Axe, Katana, Roman Sword, Mace and Gauntlet, and a choice of 50 magic attacks, such as a thousand arrows, a man-eating lion, Thor’s Fury and venomous snakes. Each weapon will also have a special enchantment.
Players can hone their skills in the Interactive Training Level before entering into combat in the battle lairs, which are guarded by mythological creatures such as the Ice Dragon, Kraken, Centaur and Titan, among others.
As you can see from the trailer, this is certainly one spectacular-looking game, thanks to the Quantum 3 Engine. Here’s Gary Knight, European Marketing Director at SEGA Europe, talking about the game:
“Tournament of Legends is bringing a unique concept to Wii. Facing off against these legendary characters is a powerful experience, while dual-wielding the Wii Remote and Nunchuk makes arena fighting more intuitive and the face-off with your friends even more competitive!”
Tournament of Legends is due for release exclusively for the Nintendo Wii on July 2nd 2010.
