Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that the incredibly popular, not to mention award-winning Scribblenauts franchise will be coming to the Wii U, with Scribblenauts Unlimited. Created and developed by 5TH Cell, the game features a vast, side-scrolling open world of 41 levels with new, high-definition hand-drawn scenery and objects, where players get to help the game’s hero, Maxwell, solve robust puzzles and challenges by summoning any object that they can imagine. Players will be able to create their own original objects, assign unique properties, and then share them with other players online, so that they can then be used in the game or further modified. Also, for the first time ever, fans will get to learn all about the back story of Maxwell’s parents, his twin sister, Lily, and how he got his magical notepad. There is no release date as yet for the game on Wii U, but as the announcement is fairly early, I’m guessing it could well be a launch game. I’m also betting that this is one game that will make particularly ingenious use of the Wii U’s touch screen controller.
