Rep Colours? What do they mean?

Ok, I got repped a couple of times.

Some Reps are Green, I think that means I got more points.
1 Rep is Red, I think that means I lost a point.
....

And some Reps are...Blue? What does blue mean?

What do all of the colours mean?

red rep=negative rep, only mods can give this out
blue rep=newb rep, means a new person repped you and i'm pretty sure it counts for nothing, though not 100% sure
green rep=repped by a regular member

Red Rep is negative rep, which can only be given out by the staff. Breaking the rules i.e spamming etc. will result in this.

Blue/Grey Rep means rep from a member who does not yet have enough rep points themselves to make it green.

Green Rep is rep given to you by a member who has rep points already.

Keep in mind as well, rep really means nothing and it is often abused.
Please don't take it seriously in the sense that it means something, and please don't abuse it (Over-do it, talk about rep in posts)

It is for rewarding members for informative posts or good posts, or helping another member out. It is not in place to give out simply for being funny or rude either. It has a place, members have just abused it is all.

For a new square it works in intervals like this:
25 Points for normal green squares, 50 for light green.

Well, in reality, it's if you like their post. It doesn't really matter WHAT the post is (besides plz rep me omfgz).

261311, the rules state you cannot beg/ask people to rep you in your posts.

I suggest editing your post before you get your rep demoted like I did.
