Question on Standby Mode wii connect 24 and heat

Like the topic says...

I'm afraid (after reading a couple of topics) that my wii will get overheated because my house is hot and I kept my wii connect 24 on standby mode. Will it be okay for me to keep wii connect 24 on during standby mode? Will it damage my Wii?

and what's this "artifact" thing someone posted? something about graphics...

goes something like: if you keep your wii connect 24 on while your wii is on standby mode, your wii will get overheated and your graphics will get artifacts

or something like that O_O.

can anyone please help?

I doubt it will cause any problems unless something is already screwed with your Wii. It is usually around 100° F in my room and my Wii has been on standby with WiiConnect24 on since launch without any problems. Please use the search in the future though. This has been discussed multiple times.

another tip if you worried, make sure your wii is standing up as opposed to lying flat on the ground,

I doubt that will make much of a difference. It might even be better to have it laying down since there would be more surface area for heat to escape from the console.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much. I mean the Wii was designed to be on standby mode 24 hours.
