Problem with LCD - component REALLY bright !! pics attached

Basically trying to attach my Wii to my LG 37'' LC2D and get the following results:

So as you can see it's SOO bright but also lacks detail, can see the ground at all pretty much in the plaza, no matter how much i tweak my TV. Any ideas ?!?!?

I have tested the Wii and cable on another LCD and works fine.

Have you tried a different 480p source? Something like a DVD moive or XBOX/XBOX 360?

Yup 360 works fine.

Also tried my Wii on my parents LCD and it works fine so must be my LCD

Have asked on an LCD forum but they also suggest to turn down the brightness but as you can see it's not just bright but also washed out.

Washed out would suggest it's the contrast that needs fiddling with as well.

i think that you sould just playit on the compositive tv. there is no diff to me i played it on an old tv from like 2000 and it works fine XD

Man I have the same exact problem as you. If you notice, it's not just bright, colors are neon as well (the blues are a lot brighter than usual, I notice this the most using the browser) I'm very annoyed. ok played red steeel very quickly last night and i 'think' in the acutal game everything is ok ??

Will do more through test tonight if i have time. So might just be the menu screens which is fubar'ed. If that is the case i'll live with that.

I found that turning down the brightness is nowhere near as effective as reducing contrast!
