Problem selecting language on set up

Hi, I've just bought a console and I get as far as pressing A to continue. I then get 6 languages to choose from but no way of selecting one of them, I'm not sure if theres menat to be a cursor or if one will be highlighted but theres nothing.

Any ideas?
