I have recieved about 10 emails saying I have new messages, but when I log in nothing...anyone else experiencing this?

What you may be receiving is notifications of threads you have posted in. Basically the emails mention if a reply has been made to a certain thread you've posted in. To fix this problem go to "User CP" > "Edit Options" "Turn off thread subscription".

Click on "turn off email notification" for both threads and private messages.

you may be getting messages from the thread subscription that is automatically enabled. to disable it, follow these steps:

First click on User CP:

Then Click on Edit Options:
http://pirana0.com/upload/files/8/sub2.jpg

Scroll down some and then make your default subscription mode to off:

its not thread subscription notices, i get those and thats fine.....funny thing is the dates are not todays dates, they are from a couple days ago
