H Haz Nintendo Encyclopedia Nov 22, 2006 720 7 England, UK Nov 28, 2006 #5 I'm pretty sure that the US power supply will not work with say a UK Wii. Not 100% sure, but I think it's the case. Not sure if this helps at all

C chuddy WiiChat Member Dec 10, 2006 5 0 Dec 10, 2006 #9 anybody find out if the power supply is autosensing? I've got an import coming over soon from the US to the UK Can I just plug it straight into the mains with a travel plug or do I need a stepdown converter? Anybody blown up their adapter yet?? Cheers! PS. For anybody who has not seen this yet and needs to buy a power adapter... looks like the Wii uses fairly small amount of power In Standby Mode: 10w Idle @ Wii menu: 17w Running a Wii Game (Test with Zelda/Trauma Center) in 480i: 17w http://wii.qj.net/Wii-and-X360-power-usage-compared/pg/49/aid/73769 Last edited: Dec 10, 2006
