I have read an article about a possible reason why nintenod hasnt put java on wii yet. It sounds very sensible to me and sorry but I dont know the exact website
The reason is with java you are able to change many things and also in some cases use html stuff. Someone at sometime would be able to use java capabilites to be like a gameshark for wii but just by using the internet channel!! All you would have to do is click something and java capabilites might be able to do this and there is also a small chance with the flash things but i still think they should have java 9 but it is b/c a deal Opera made with like acrobat or something like that
