Old SNES games i own on the Wii?

Hi there,

This may or may not sound like a stupid question...but its got me thinking.

Is there anyway i can download the old SNES games that i already own for free on the virtual console?

It just seems (maybe strange is the wrong word) but if i already own the game i.e Super Metroid, is there no way i can prove that i actually own it, therefore getting it for free??

If not, im out of £5 lol

I doubt you can download a game for free on VC if you already own the actual pak, but I suppose there could be a chance. That's something to e-mail Nintendo about. If you decide to e-mail them, will you share their response with us?
