Ocerina of time question

Is there any way to when you save not start all the way back at your home village? It's a real pain when you save and take a break for a while and then turn it on again to find that your all the way back where you started you adventure. So is there an item that lets you start where you left off or something? Help is appreciated.

I'm afraid it always takes you back where you started. There is one exception though- if you save while in a dungeon, you'll find yourself at the dungeon's entrance when you resume the game later.

I just started the game, but I know that you can teleport from the Lost Woods to Goron City.

You can also teleport from the lost woods to Zora's River. But once you get to the point in the game in which you become an adult, you will always start out at the Temple of Time, unless you save in a dungeon. Also you will learn songs that allow you to teleport to different places in the game. Hope that helps!
