The International Business Times reports that Capcom has said that it will not be porting versions of some of its popular titles to the Wii U, meaning that Wii U owners will miss seeing the likes of Resident Evil 6, Street Fighter IV, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on the new console. The revelation came as part of an answer to a question on Capcom’s official forum, with Capcom USA’s senior vice president Christian Svensson saying the following:
As the International Business Times notes, this is actually quite a surprising stance on Capcom’s part, as some of its major rival publishers, such as Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. Interactive, have Wii U ports of some of their most popular games, such as Mass Effect 3 and Batman: Arkham City. Still, don’t be too disheartened, there’s still Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate to look forward too on Wii U from Capcom!“With regard to Wii U, in general we’re looking forward, not back so late ports are generally not on the table.”
