Nintendo Wii vs. Ipod Touch

I'm new to this, but I've been confused about whether to purchase a Nintento Wii or a 3G Ipod Touch with points I redeemed on Points2Shop. I already know alot about the Ipod Touch, and I was wondering if someone with experience on the Nintendo Wii could better inform me on it. I've heard that they don't last very long, and I don't wanna waste my hard earned points. I wanna put in the order b4 my Birthday this Saturday so your help would really mean a lot to me.

well the wii is kinda better...the ipod touch is good to only thing is the motion. i already have a wii so i would prefer a ipod touch
