Nintendo Summit: Metroid: Other M Details and Screenshots-1.052010-02-25 14:26:52Maura S
Nintendo followed up this week’s Australian and American press summits with a European press briefing today, where, among other things, they unveiled some amazing new Metroid: Other M screenshots and revealed lots of new details about the game. According to Nintendo, the new Wii Metroid looks at the classic franchise from a new perspective, with much of the game being reminiscent of a 2D side-scroller, although players can choose to switch the perspective to 3D at any time as they explore the twisting passages of a derelict space station.
The game also has an all-new control system, whereby players hold the Wii Remote sideways to battle enemies and navigate the vast levels in classic Metroid fashion. They can also use the Wii Remote to aim at the screen and shoot enemies in first-person, as they go on the hunt for clues and hidden passages, and learn much more about Samus Aran’s past.
Metroid: Other M is due to be released across Europe in Q3 2010.
